New Orleans Notebook: Forget Me Not NOLA

This past Saturday, Papo d’Anjo was part of “High Heels for High Hopes,” a wonderful fundraiser in New Orleans put together by young women in high school and college. The event was organized by Forget Me Not NOLA to support Sentebale, Prince Harry’s charitable organization to help displaced youth in Africa.

The event included dinner, a fashion show, and a live band and raised well over $250,000 for Sentebale. The adults in the fashion show wore clothes from Saks Fifth Avenue and the children were dressed entirely in Papo.

Papo was represented by Sara Schilleci, our Southeast Director. She was joined by representatives from Sentebale, Forget Me Not NOLA, and Saks. But there were celebrities enjoying the fun as well, including Sentebale Ambassador Masiela Lusha from “The George Lopez Show.”

Actor John Goodman’s daughter modeled Papo. Her mother Anna Beth is the owner of Pippen Lane, a beautiful children’s clothing boutique in New Orleans. My special thanks to Sara for working so hard for Papo to be a part of such a special event.

In other news, this season’s popular Men’s Striped Polos and Men’s Surfer Style Swimsuits are now available. Both come in a variety of colors and prints and make terrific Father’s Day gifts.
